Natalie Yiaxi is an artist based in Nicosia. Her practice attempts to capture ineffable and affectual impressions of everyday life, which are not readily available for observation. Being devoted to the poetics of the ordinary, she employs an ever-expanding set of strategies, practices, and mediums (ranging from sculptural gestures, drawings, publications, text, sound, and video) to capture that which slips away.

In 2018, she co-founded the artist-run gallery PARTY Contemporary (2018-2020) in Kaimakli/Nicosia, and in 2016 she founded the self-publishing imprint Bast Fooks, under which she publishes her artists' books and poetry. She was a DESTE Prize finalist in 2015. In 2013, she co-represented the Republic of Cyprus in the 55th Venice Biennale.

Her moniker as a performer since 2012 is Nice Contradiction. N.C is a voice, constantly commenting, noticing, and disrupting everyday life. She can switch from talking about the mundane to pondering on the cosmic; she uses autobiography and humor as touchpoints to our shared awareness; she is comfortable with ambiguity and ambivalence.
